Anything Goes at the Papertake Weekly Challenge

Hello again everyone, I hope your day is going okay

As promised, I'm back with my second post of the day.
(to see my Passion for Promarkers card please scroll down to the previous post)

Today is the start of a new Papertake Weekly Challenge, which I am still really enjoying being a Guest Designer for.
This week the theme is

Anything Goes
with the option to make a Halloween Treat Holder
Our sponsor this week is the wonderful Lili of The Valley
Prize is a £10 voucher

Now, I must confess, I know it may sound strange, but I am not really too keen on Halloween. I think it may go back to being scared as a child. So Halloween designs are definitely not my strong point.

Anyway, I had a go at making a basic treat holder. I used a free image from Birdie Brown that you can find here and layered up the cute pumpkins. I was surprised to see that the black lace I had lurking in the bottom of my ribbon box has a spider like pattern on it, how lucky!

Items Used:
Digi Stamp - Freebie from Bridie Brown coloured with Promarkers
Paper - Doodlebug designs
Lace from stash

If you pop along to the  Papertake Weekly Challenge blog you will be able to see the amazing creations made by the design team.

I would like to enter my treat holder into the following fabulous challenges:

Created with Love - Halloween
Corrosive Challenge - Cute and Creepy!
Craft-Dee BowZ - Anything Goes with a handmade bow
Bearly Mine - Halloween

Thank you for taking the time to stop and look at my blog again today, I really do appreciate it and I love to read any comments you may wish to make
I'll be back later with my final DT card of the day.
Bye for now
hugs

  4. Good. Afternoon Sue, I like your treat box, I think I will have to have a go at this, I have made three or origami Halloween boxes, but could do with these kind for the boys. The black lace works so well too.

  21. When I was a child we didn't do Halloween, but it's starting to become a tradition here with the younger kids. For me Halloween meant horror movies on TV, but no trick or treats. I love horror movies! But I've never made a Halloween project of any kind, but I'll give it a go this year - I think I'll give this kind of box a go! I think it will make a great gift for my two younger nephews, adding a little candy inside.

  34. I remember going trick or treating once as a kid and I was dressed as a cat in a leotard, black tights and plimpsoles. I was so cold that I wet myself about half way up our street. Since then, I havent bothered with it lol
This is fun, colourful and perfect as a halloween gift or as part of a costume.

  46. You and I share the same view on Halloween, my friend! We do seem to be rare in the lack of Halloween creations this time of year... but at least I have you with me! ;) Hehe. Your project is wonderful, Sue. The lace is such a lovely touch and I particularly like that you can see inside the goodie holder so you know what's waiting for you. :o) Your design is marvelous as always, even when you don't exactly mesh with the theme. :o) Always an inspiration!

    Hugs and blessings!
