We're Anything but Square at A Gem of a Challenge!

Good Morning to you all my wonderful crafty friends. A big warm welcome to all my new followers, it's so nice and such an honour to have you join me.
I hope you are all well and having a good weekend.

Today is the start of a new
This week our fun theme is

Anything but Square

The prize for the winner will be.....
2 Individual Digi images
(NO SETS, PERSONALISED WATERMARK'S OR SENTIMENT SETS)
of the winners choice from PINK GEM DESIGNS.....

Not sure what this card design is called but it was fun to make! I folded the front of the card in half and then cut half way with my Spellbinders scalloped circle die. It's a great design if you want to use 2 images and was fun to decorate.
Sorry there are lots of photos, this was a difficult one to take pictures of

Hi, Sue! Thanks for mention XCut dies. I've never heard of them before and took a quick peek at Marker Pop to see what all they made. Are your stars some of the larger dies? Or the smaller? They did not provide any dimensions. DARLING card, of course, and wonderful colors and DPs. I especially enjoy the repeat patterns, and what your cute card looks like when it is fully opened. VERY PRETTY layering and shading, Sharon. It is always a pleasure visiting your blog to see how you combine papers and die cuts. Thanks for educating me! hugs, de

Wow. I really love this, Sue! I need to check out YouTube for a video tutorial of this half-cutting. I see what you've done, but I've never tried doing this before, so I'm unsure about trying it out. It's such an adorable card!!

Karen said...

My amazingly talented friend, this is an incredible card! Not only is the card style fabulous, but the bright colors are just pure joy. I love how authentic you made the tire swing by hanging it from the corner branch! And of course the interior image is marvelous, as well. I've only made this style once but you just made me realize how perfect it is for male/boy cards! Since we have to hold back a bit on girly embellishments, this type of fancy fold adds non-girly pizzazz. :o) Lovely creation, Sue! I am done flooding your Inbox now... thank you for being so patient with me when I cannot get to crafting/commenting. Being back to your sweet blog is like coming home in my crafty realm. :o)

Hugs and blessings!
