Hello again everyone, I hope your day is going okay
As promised, I'm back with my second post of the day.
(to see my Passion for Promarkers card please scroll down to the previous post)
Today is the start of a new Papertake Weekly Challenge, which I am still really enjoying being a Guest Designer for.
This week the theme is
with the option to make a Halloween Treat Holder
Our sponsor this week is the wonderful Lili of The Valley
Prize is a £10 voucher
Now, I must confess, I know it may sound strange, but I am not really too keen on Halloween. I think it may go back to being scared as a child. So Halloween designs are definitely not my strong point.
Anyway, I had a go at making a basic treat holder. I used a free image from Birdie Brown that you can find here and layered up the cute pumpkins. I was surprised to see that the black lace I had lurking in the bottom of my ribbon box has a spider like pattern on it, how lucky!
Digi Stamp - Freebie from Bridie Brown coloured with Promarkers
Paper - Doodlebug designs
Lace from stash
If you pop along to the Papertake Weekly Challenge blog you will be able to see the amazing creations made by the design team.
I would like to enter my treat holder into the following fabulous challenges:
Created with Love - Halloween
Corrosive Challenge - Cute and Creepy!
Craft-Dee BowZ - Anything Goes with a handmade bow
Bearly Mine - Halloween
Thank you for taking the time to stop and look at my blog again today, I really do appreciate it and I love to read any comments you may wish to make
I'll be back later with my final DT card of the day.
Bye for now
Love it Sue, the lace is perfect! Love the image of those two crazy pumpkins! Susan x
GREAT project. Love the lace. Thanks for joining our Halloween Challenge at Created With Love Challenges
Apologies for the sticky/pasty comment Sue but the fingers and hands are not playing the computer game at the moment, but still like to have a peek, say hello and great work as always.
Good. Afternoon Sue, I like your treat box, I think I will have to have a go at this, I have made three or origami Halloween boxes, but could do with these kind for the boys. The black lace works so well too.
I'm not a Halloween fan either Sue, but I do like this fabulously spooky treat box! My 3 youngest Grandchildren would LOVE this (especially if it's full of sweets)!
Hugs, Sylvia xxx

I am not a halloween fan either Sue, but I do really like your treat box it's brilliant xx
Now this is one awesome creation but like you am not into Halloween, to me it resembles 'bad' things. The tomb stones etc not my thing BUT we still make our creations for fun and enjoy what we do....this is excellent.xx
I don't like Halloween also. But your treat box is fabulous with the black lace and rounded top corners. They make it really beautiful.
Fabulous treat bag Sue. Your ribbon was a great find...perfect addition. hugs, Pat K xx

What a great make and those pumpkins made me smile! hugs, Karenx
When I was a child we didn't do Halloween, but it's starting to become a tradition here with the younger kids. For me Halloween meant horror movies on TV, but no trick or treats. I love horror movies! But I've never made a Halloween project of any kind, but I'll give it a go this year - I think I'll give this kind of box a go! I think it will make a great gift for my two younger nephews, adding a little candy inside.
Must admit that I too struggle with Halloween..More of a Christmas girl lol..but, you have a cute little box here..Loving your colours.
Boo! to you too! A gorgeous Halloween project Sue. Fab colours and design.

I'll jump on the wagon with you Sue. No big Halloween fan here either. Never have understood why people would want to be scared on purpose. LOL. Your little treat box is adorable. Torico always has such cute images. Hugs!
Not a Halloween fan either Sue, but this treat holder is fabulous.

This is a fabulous treat holder Sue, great image and papers.
I remember going trick or treating once as a kid and I was dressed as a cat in a leotard, black tights and plimpsoles. I was so cold that I wet myself about half way up our street. Since then, I havent bothered with it lol

You and I share the same view on Halloween, my friend! We do seem to be rare in the lack of Halloween creations this time of year... but at least I have you with me! ;) Hehe. Your project is wonderful, Sue. The lace is such a lovely touch and I particularly like that you can see inside the goodie holder so you know what's waiting for you. :o) Your design is marvelous as always, even when you don't exactly mesh with the theme. :o) Always an inspiration!
Hugs and blessings!
You should do more Halloween, Sue! Maybe, like me, you'll find it sort of grows on you the more you do! (Just like Halloween candy!) This little treat box is boo!tiful!! Hugs, Darnell
