Summer Time Spent with a Special Friend

Hello my blogging buddies

I hope this finds this well, I don't know about you but I'm glad it's Friday, it's been a hectic week here.
Anyway, at least my card is relaxing!

I was given some gorgeous Faye Whittaker Decoupage sheets for a present and this is one of them. I spent absolutely ages trying to decide on a layout for this card. It's such a lovely image that I didn't want to go over the top with embellishments. I tried adding so many different things, I was surprised how much old stuff I had lurking about and was pleased to find the metal star fish ( I haven't a clue where it came from)
So,as you will see I have made a twisted easel but at the moment it is looking quite plain. I tried adding some ribbon and a bow but it just didn't look right to me.

This is one of those cards that looks much better in real life. I added some stickles glitter glue to the waves which you cannot see on my picture. Also the bottom panel has been inked and then embossed with a paper crimper.

Here's a couple of close ups to try and show you what I mean:

So, I may make some changes to this at a later date, not sure yet!

Items used:
Faye Whittaker All Our Yesterdays Decoupage
Papermania Textured cardstock
Metal charm and starfish from stash
Martha Stewart zig zag border punch
Stickles glitter glue - diamond
Paper crimper

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
Joanna Sheen summer Daze
Here Come the Boys - metal and/or embossing
Cutie Pie - one for the boys
Crafty Pad - more than one fold
Creative Inspirations -  anything goes
Charisma cardz - anything goes
Tuesday Alchemy - furry companion
Fussy and Fancy - fancy folds

That's all from me for now, just off now to check out what you have all been up to.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend
Hugs

Hello Sue
Thank you for leaving such a lovely comment on my Blog(scrumplescrunch)and I am so pleased that you found me while surfing around.
I tried to use your link button(contact me) but it is broken, otherwise I would have sent an e-mail. You do exquisite work Sue, I am not a CAS designer as you have probably realised, I like getting all inky too much, Ha. Anyway this beautiful image you have mounted onto your easel card is delightful and it realtes a feeling of peacefulness, even though there are waves it is a relaxing scene, adding the silver element gives an extra interest, and in my opinion it is enough; the card does not need any tinkering.
Thanks for following me I hope you enjoy your visits to me.
Smiles:)
Sue
